July 21, 2025

JP Lamborn’s Mascot-based factory has a new reason to celebrate: its AMBlue Antimicrobial Flex Duct is officially in the running for the title of “Coolest Thing Made in Tennessee” for 2025.

The annual contest, hosted by the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Tennessee Manufacturers Association, and the UT Center of Industrial Services, spotlights the state’s innovative manufacturing sector and the people behind it. This year, AMBlue was selected from more than a hundred products submitted by manufacturers statewide, each vying for the top spot in Tennessee’s crowded field of creative and high-quality goods.

Jason Lamborn, president of JP Lamborn (JPL), credits his team for the achievement. “We are honored to be recognized as one of the nominees in this year’s contest,” Lamborn said. “This nomination highlights our dedicated team and the incredible work being done here in Tennessee.”

AMBlue, designed to inhibit bacterial growth in flexible ductwork, reflects a growing focus on health and safety in building products—a trend that’s resonating well beyond the state’s borders.

Voting for the “Coolest Thing Made in Tennessee” opened July 18 and runs through July 29. Residents and supporters can cast their votes online, contributing to a groundswell of local pride and, possibly, bringing statewide recognition to JPL’s innovation.

Questions about the contest can be directed to the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s Catherine Johnson at catherine.johnson@tnchamber.org.

Voting is open through July 29. To support JP Lamborn’s AMBlue Antimicrobial Flex Duct, cast your vote today and help shine a spotlight on Tennessee’s manufacturing excellence.
