Emerson webinar to focus on low-condensing refrigeration
As part of its Making Sense webinar series, Emerson will host a webinar on Aug. 20 titled “Low Condensing Implementation.” The webinar, scheduled for 2 p.m. EDT, will aim to inform those within the HVACR industry about new technologies, regulations, the latest trends, and environmental updates.
Lowering condensing pressures has been attempted in the past with limited success, according to Emerson. This presentation will explain low-condensing operation and its associated benefits, as well as expose common pitfalls and how to avoid them.
“Today’s growing emphasis on sustainability, coupled with increasing electricity costs, is prompting many operations managers to look for ways to reduce energy consumption in their refrigeration systems — and cut costs,” said Rajan Rajendran, Ph.D., vice president of engineering services and sustainability for Emerson Climate Technologies. “One of the best opportunities to lower energy consumption in refrigeration systems is by operating at lower condensing temperatures. For example, you can improve system efficiency up to 35% by lowering the condensing temperature to 20 degrees.”
