Weil-McLain earns Good Housekeeping Seal

February 28, 2007

Good Housekeeping has granted its Good Housekeeping Seal to hydronic heating manufacturer Weil-McLain. The Good Housekeeping Seal was introduced in 1909 as one of the first tested and approved emblems in the U.S. to assure consumers that a manufacturer's product has met the rigorous quality standards set forth by the Good Housekeeping Institute.

“We are proud that our products met the high specifications of the Good Housekeeping Institute and earning its Seal is the start of another fine chapter to the heritage of Weil-McLain,” commented Weil-McLain vice president of marketing Dave Dolan. “We very much appreciate Good Housekeeping recognizing our Without Compromise™ approach to precision manufacturing and customer support and are honored to join the elite cadre of organizations that are also backed by the seal.” Other consumer product manufacturers that have earned the prestigious seal consist of Proctor & Gamble, Sherwin-Williams and Samsung.

Weil-McLain intends on leveraging its backing by the Seal in future print advertisements, trade/in-store promotions, product packaging and website. “The seal is dedicated to helping consumers find products and companies they can trust,” said Dolan. “Our marketing efforts reflect this mission in providing homeowners with the information they require to make the very best decision regarding their hydronic heating needs.” The Good Housekeeping Seal enjoys 94% awareness among consumers and recent surveys reported 81% of consumers would choose a product with the Seal when price and features are similar.
