As if Metallica couldn't get anymore rock ’n’ roll, the legendary rock band is giving scholarships to local community colleges around the country as part of its "All Within My Hands" Foundation to promote access to education, careers and provide other local services. Kristv.com reports:

The band’s “All Within My Hands” Foundation will award each institution with $100,000 dollars.

This past week the winners were announced and many were excited for what’s next to come.

At WSU Tech in Wichita, Kansas, the money will be used to bring training opportunities to students interested in joining the trades.

“This grant will allow us the opportunity to take 25 women from our community and be able to create a training opportunity and an educational opportunity and a career opportunity for either welding, machining, or sheet metal assembly,” said Sheree Utash, president at WSU Tech President.

The college's new program is expected to begin summer 2019, reports kristv.com.
