Maryland country residents may be eligible for free duct sealing
A Maryland county received a $350,000 state grant that it will use to promote duct sealing, among other energy-saving technologies.
The HeraldMailMedia website said that the Maryland Energy Administration’s Clean Energy Communities program gives eligible homeowners a free energy audit and up to $10,000 in efficiency improvements, which includes new HVAC equipment and duct sealing. Fifty homes are expected to receive the benefits, the article said.
