The Air Movement and Control Association International has a new president.
The group named Doug Yamashita, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Acme Engineering & Manufacturing Corp., as association head for the 2017-18 year.
Yamashita said that his focus will be interacting with and encouraging participation from new employees of member committees. He is the third person from Acme to serve as AMCA’s president.
“AMCA has been well-served by the leadership of its member companies for 100 years, but like all industrial organizations today, AMCA needs to help the association and its members prepare for the next generation of leaders,” Yamashita said.
Yamashita joined Acme as applications engineering manager in 1994 and was promoted to sales management in 1998. He has a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, and is a dual citizen of Canada and the U.S.
