Emerson thermostat earns high remarks in J.D. Power report
Emerson’s Sensi Wi-Fi programmable thermostat received top customer satisfaction ratings in the J.D. Power 2016 Smart Thermostat Satisfaction Report.

Smart thermostats that are easy to install and use were key factors, the report stated.
The Sensi thermostat, which was the highest scoring smart thermostat brand in terms of ease of installation and setup, also earned the highest scores in reliability, energy efficiency, price paid and internet connectivity.
J.D. Power officials said smart thermostats provide customers with a hands-on approach to researching, buying and installing a product that essentially gives them a hands-off experience.
The Sensi thermostat, which officials said was one of the most affordable choices in the connected-thermostat category, comes with detailed instructions and videos to help with installation and setup for consumers or HVAC contractors. With its in-app contractor designation feature, HVAC professionals can also leave behind a virtual business card for customers. The thermostat can also connect to smart-home devices like Wink and Amazon Echo.
