Singer Aloe Blacc and alternative rock band X Ambassadors will perform at Greenbuild 2016.

Organizers announced today that the performers will appear in an outdoor concert Oct. 6 held as part of the Oct. 5-7 green HVAC and sustainable construction trade show at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The Grammy-nominated Blacc’s best-known singles include “I Need a Dollar” and “The Man.”

The X Ambassadors are led by Sam Harris. Well-known songs include "Unsteady," “Low Life,” "Jungle" and "Renegades." The band’s first album was released in 2015.

In a statement, the X Ambassadors said they were excited to be taking part in Greenbuild.

“We try to be as environmentally conscious as we can while we're on tour, so we're so thrilled to be a part of spreading the word about sustainability at the Greenbuild Conference this year,” the band’s statement said. “It's a cause we sincerely believe in and we're honored to be a part of this event.”

Rick Fedrizzi, the CEO and founding chairman of the U.S. Green Building Council, which presents Greenbuild, said the performers are an excellent choice.

“The Greenbuild celebration is a longstanding tradition that brings the green building community together to celebrate our successes while kicking back to enjoy great entertainment in a high-energy atmosphere,” he said. “As Los Angeles marks my last official Greenbuild, I want to make sure this is a very special event, so we have two of the most amazing musical talents today, X Ambassadors, and L.A.’s own Aloe Blacc, joining us for an outdoor concert that is sure to make this year’s Greenbuild truly ‘iconic green.'”
