American Residential buys HVAC market contractor
Brand will change in Las Vegas, stay in California
American Residential Services has purchased plumbing and HVAC construction company Greenstar Home Services. Terms were not disclosed.
Greenstar operates locations in Orange, California, and Las Vegas. The Southern California HVAC sales business will continue as Greenstar, while the Las Vegas operation will become Yes! Air Conditioning and Plumbing in that HVAC market.
Current Greenstar CEO Jeremy Prevost and Chief Operating Officer Colin Martodam will maintain their positions in the new company.
"The culture that Greenstar was founded on was demanding, execution-oriented, and certainly not guaranteed to mesh with the average home service company," said Prevost. "It was, however, a culture that enabled Greenstar to grow exponentially and emerge as one of the industry leaders. In ARS, we have found a culture and a leadership team that embody the philosophies on which Greenstar was founded. Together we plan to install a fast-paced, customer centric, process-driven business culture that will take us to the next level. I am confident that, under the visionary leadership of Dave Slott and Don Karnes, Greenstar will realize its full potential."
