Esco Group hires technical education director
Pick has extensive HVAC market experience, officials say
HVAC construction association management company the Esco Group has hired Eugene Silberstein as its director of technical education and standards.
He holds a master’s in energy and environmental science, Esco said, and has been named a top instructor by the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute, and the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration News (like SNIPS, owned by BNP Media). He has also been named a certified master HVAC construction educator by Esco-managed HVAC Excellence.
"It is with great pleasure that we welcome professor Eugene Silberstein to the ESCO Group team,” said Esco Chairman Jerry Weiss. “His broad experience, which includes all aspects of the HVACR industry, will be a great asset to the ESCO Group and those that we serve.”
Silberstein said he hoped his HVAC market experiences would bring a unique perspective to the position.
"Having spent over twenty years with public and private schools, I understand the challenges that must be faced in order to establish and maintain a top program,” he said. “I look forward to assisting fellow instructors develop customized training solutions, improve their programs, and establish attainable professional development goals."
