Canadian building automation and energy management company Distech Controls Inc. is being bought by lighting manufacturer Acuity Brands Inc.

Terms were not disclosed.

Company officials say the combination will offer customers an array of energy-efficient HVAC market and ventilation products that enhance occupant comfort.
