Contractors from New Jersey, California and Texas are among those tapped to serve on the Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s 2013-2014 board of directors.

The association named the officers during its Feb. 27-March 2 annual convention in Orlando, Fla.

Outgoing chairwoman Laura DiFilippo of DiFilippo’s Service Co. in Paoli, Pa.,was replaced by Bobby Ring of Meyer & Depew Co., Inc. of Kenilworth, N.J.

Ring was used as an adviser by NBC News as part of a segment on unscrupulous HVAC contractors last year.

“2012 was another interesting year from start to finish and Laura’s leadership helped ACCA stay ahead in the unpredictable and ever-changing environment that our small businesses members must work in,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. “Bobby Ring now brings his own unique energy and outlook to continue the association down the path that has been set, while adding focus to some areas that are of great interest to him. The members can be confident that ACCA is prepared for another productive and successful year regardless of what challenges may present themselves in the next 12 months.”
