RSES members now have access to two HVAC-related
standards approved by the American National
Standards Institute and the Air Conditioning Contractors of America.
The standards are the 2007 versions of “Maintenance of
Residential HVAC Systems” and “Restoring the Cleanliness of HVAC Systems.”
RSES officials said its partnership with the ACCA is
designed to improve the professionalism of the HVACR industry in general and
members of the former Refrigeration Service Engineers Society in particular.
“Providing these two standards continues the
process begun last year to keep our members abreast of industry developments,
especially as the standards are increasingly referenced within regulations and
legislation,” said RSES Executive Vice President Mark Lowry. “We are committed
to helping RSES members lead the industry in installation, maintenance and
restoration of systems.”
RSES members may view the standards free at this website, selecting
“My RSES Home Page” and “ANSI/ACCA Q Standards” under the “My RSES”
section.
