The Green Mechanical Council wants to educate contractors about green building.

The Green Mechanical Council is offering a class in green awareness certification Nov. 17-18 in West Hartford, Conn.

Sponsors say consumers and savvy employers want companies and workers to understand the growing green building movement, which focuses on conserving energy and resources.
