Contractors can win an energy-efficient manifold.

Nordyne is encouraging contractors to enter to win “the latest and greenest refrigerant gadget” at www.ecoLogicHVAC.com.

Until Oct. 31, contractors have a chance to win a Yellow Jacket Titan 4 solar-powered digital LCD manifold.

The refrigerant gauge is available through the contest before it will be available in stores. It runs on sunlight or artificial light, eliminating the need for batteries. It works with eight types of refrigerant, including R-410A.

The contest is part of a commitment to sustainable, green practices, Nordyne President Dave LaGrand said.

“Nordyne is committed to energy-conserving technology,” LaGrand said. “First, we developed our 23-SEER (seasonal energy-efficiency ratio) iQ Drive air conditioner. Then we launched our ecoLogic family of high-efficiency products. And now, we’re partnering with Yellow Jacket to promote green tools.”
