Product works on standing-seam metal, roofing company says

Roof snow-retention product maker Sno Gem Inc. now offers the iClad, a bar/fence system that it says works with most standing-seam metal roofs.

It attaches to standing seams through Sno Gem’s Sno Cube clamp and any profile with WaveLock, company officials say. When used with the Sno Cube Silver Bullet setscrews, which have a rounded “bullet” style tip, the roof’s finish and material are protected, officials added.

“For over 20 years, Sno Gem has offered customers the best products and top-notch service,” said James T. Carpenter, vice president of operations at Sno Gem. “We are excited to introduce our latest innovation, the iClad snow-retention system. The iClad product line adds to an already elite line of the strongest and most aesthetically pleasing snow retention systems made on the market today. These products, the iClad and iClad-S, offer either a 2-inch or 3-inch-high profile and can accommodate any pre-finished metal trim to match the color of your standing-seam metal roof panel. With the introduction of these products, the iClad complements what we believe is already the finest product line of snow-retention systems in the industry.”

The iClad is made of aircraft-grade aluminum extrusion and includes Sno Gem’s iPlate. It is sold in standard mill-finish aluminum and does not need painting.
