Sheet metal works firm recognized for safety

Snips industry news
October 1, 2015

The Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors’ National Association awarded a Tempe, Arizona-based mechanical contractor for safety practices.

The award was presented to University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors Inc. for best safety and health record within the 400,000-500,000 labor hours category. This is the company’s 10th award since 2000, it said.

“University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors’ exemplary safety record over the past 15 years has been the result of hard work and commitment on the part of every member of our organization,” said Brad Thornton, company president and CEO.  “Sustaining this level of dedication requires constant vigilance.  We are thankful for the safety of our team and loyalty of our clients, and hope that we continue to be deserving of this recognition each and every year.”
