Snappy brings laser-cut fittings to HVAC market
Residential duct and fittings manufacturer Snappy Co. has introduced what it says is an industry first: laser-cut Safety Fittings.
These fiber optic light beam-made almost completely eliminate the risk of cuts from sharp corners and ragged edges, company officials said.
“Safety and speed are incredibly important for both distributors and contractors,” said Snappy President and COO Tom Smid. “That’s exactly why we made safety one of our top priorities in 2013, and designed a whole new manufacturing process for producing HVAC components.”
The Philadelphia-based Snappy’s full line of Comfort Distribution Products — sheet metal, flex, grills, registers and diffusers — now feature laser-cut Safety Fittings. It makes the HVAC components easier to install as well as safer for technicians, they say.
