Mestek Machinery held an open house Oct. 5, 2012, at its Cedar Rapids, Iowa, facility to mark Manufacturing Day. The company invited government officials to attend the festivities, including Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa).

Mestek, whose brands include Lockformer, Iowa Precision and Engel, was celebrating that some of its machines are again being made in the United States after seeing manufacturing moved to China some time ago.
