During the third quarter 2013, both ductless split system and air handler unit shipments showed the largest gains, increasing by 37 percent, according to the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI).

Refrigerant Management Canada (RMC) announced that the disposal fee for accepting CFC‐11 refrigerant into the program has changed. Effective July 1, 2013, the disposal fee will be $12/kilogram for CFC‐11 refrigerant entering the program for destruction.
