ARLINGTON, Va. - The 16th Annual HVACR & Mechanical Instructor Workshop will be held on March 23-25, at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Va. With an educational focus on “Fueling Future Success,” the workshop will provide an array of informative general sessions, single-topic workshops, and opportunities for networking with major HVACR and mechanical manufacturers and other industry training professionals.

The instructor workshop provides instructors and administrators of apprentice and secondary/post-secondary school-based instructional programs with technical information and teaching techniques.

The 2011 HVACR & Mechanical Instructor Workshop will feature as the keynote speaker nationally known education leader Sally Downey, Ed.D., the superintendent of the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT), a public school district in Mesa, Ariz. Downey will address the importance of the classroom learning experience and how instructors can and should partner with business and association entities.

The workshop is jointly sponsored by Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI); Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA); Heating, Airconditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI); Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI); North American Technician Excellence (NATE); National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM); National Association Educational Foundation; Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractors-National Association (PHCC); and Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES). In addition, the workshop is closely partnered with Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), Council of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Educators (CARE), and SkillsUSA.

There is no registration fee for this event.
