Wireless Sensors: Resistance Temperature Detector Transmitter

The hockey puck-style SB-PT100 resistance temperature detector (RTD) transmitter extends the company’s Generation II family of wireless sensors based on low-power mesh networking sensor technology. The transmitter is designed to fit in instrument enclosures designed for conventional wired transmitters, combining the advantages of wireless with standardized designs. It will accept any PT-100 RTD as its sensor input. The transmitter utilizes a self-configuring, self-healing, mesh network topology which allows the sensor network to configure itself during initial setup and repair itself after an interruption providing reliability in industrial and commercial sensor applications. Features include nodes that run on batteries, with a battery life of multiple years; and time synchronization of all nodes, which ensures accurate time stamping of individual measurements.
