WaterFurnace International Inc.: Hydronic Units

The Envision™ NDW Series 8- to 15-ton hydronic units are designed to meet the high-volume water demands of today’s larger luxury homes, providing radiant floor heating, pool heating, and snow and ice melt. The units feature a microprocessor that controls the load pump, source pump, and compressor with precise thermostatic inputs. A robust controller enables the user to view all modes of operation and easily adjust temperatures. In addition, the controller monitors all fault conditions to ensure safe, reliable operation. According to the manufacturer, IntelliStart™ reduces the amount of current needed to start the unit by 70 percent, helping to alleviate light flicker, reduce start-up noise, and increase compressor life. The units’ brazed plate heat exchangers provide increased efficiency, performance, and reliability in a compact unit. Two high-efficiency scroll compressors also contribute to reliability and reduced operating costs, while sound-attenuating compressor blankets and double-isolation mounting plates ensure whisper-quiet operation. The cabinets are fabricated from heavy gauge steel and a durable metallic finish for long-lasting beauty and performance. A swing-out control box and control panels that can be placed on either end improve serviceability.
