The 5- and 12-ton-capacity horizontal units have been added to the line of portable air conditioners. Features include a heavy-duty scroll compressor and sturdy cabinets. The units use R-22. The units can be easily customized to meet specific requirements for cooling only, heating only, or combination heating-cooling. For precise air distribution, a choice a ducted or free-blow air supply is offered. According to the manufacturer, units can be constructed to develop full capacity in outdoor ambient temperatures up to 130 degrees F (operation up to 135 degrees) as well as wind-blown sand and seacoast environments. Finish options include powder coating, Heresite® coatings, and military-specification CARC paint.
