ORLANDO, Fla. - Diane Iuliano Pichu noted at the DuPont press conference that an “increase of regulations impacting HFCs is very likely.” Jim Bachman stated that business as usual with R-22 will lead to shortages. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) projects an annual gap in R-22 supply vs. demand from 2010 through 2014. To bridge the gap, Bachman said it is important to implement leak reduction, reclaim, and retrofit.
