LG photoCHICAGO — On Monday morning, LG Electronics hosted a media roundtable before the show opened to introduce the latest iteration of its variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system — the Multi V III.

Kevin McNamara, vice president, commercial air conditioning, discussed LG’s goals as a company to promote efficiency and balance green and comfort. According to McNamara, the Multi V III is a “huge step forward” for the company. It is AHRI 1230 certified and rated to 21.8 IEER. The Multi V III is available as an air source or water source system.

According to McNamara, the new system is more compact and allows for longer piping distances. McNamara also explained that LG recently installed the system at its own facility in Alpharetta, Ga., while the building was up and running with minimal disruption to the occupants.
