Trane: Acoustics Analysis Program
The Trane Acoustics Program (TAP™) is a tool designed to model the sound level that will reach building occupants' ears. The program determines the overall sound level at the receiver and how much sound each path contributes. As the HVAC system components are added, moved, or deleted, the program recalculates the resulting sound power levels. Once the analysis is complete, results can be viewed as detailed tables or NC or RC sound-level charts. TAP version 3.0 provides automated ASHRAE-endorsed algorithms with a user-friendly Windows® interface, updates product sound data, more sound elements to model sound paths, and a new report format for interpreting analysis results.
