Multi-Zone Retro-Mate self-contained units with zone and bypass dampers are designed to mount on top of the existing Multi-Zone curb and mate to the existing Multi-Zone ductwork and zones. It converts a single-zone constant-volume rooftop to a variable air volume Multi-Zone. The curb includes 1-1/2-inch-thick, 3-pound insulation, transitions, baffles, and structural supports that mate the rooftop unit to the curb and zoning. According to the manufacturer, access to the 18-gauge zone and bypass opposed-blade dampers and actuators is easy after installation is completed.
