Contractors designated as MSCA STARs have proven that they are an experienced service contractor, employ the best trained and most qualified workforce including UA STAR certified technicians, maintain a superior safety record, offer outstanding customer service, and focus on continuing education and training for all employees. These qualifications are confirmed and verified by the National ITC Corp. of Los Angeles (NITC), an internationally recognized third-party personnel certification agency. NITC reviews contractor applications and awards the MSCA STAR to those that stand up to a rigorous review of their credentials.

The MSCA STAR Contractor Qualification Program began in 2004. To apply for MSCA STAR status, a contractor must complete a detailed application and provide evidence that they meet or exceed the standards set by MSCA.
