The Thermal Dynamics® True Series line of plasma cutting machines has expanded to include the Cutmaster® 42. With 27 A of output power on 120-V input and 40 A on 230-V input, the machine offers the power of two machines built into one, says the company. The portable, lightweight unit is designed to cut up to ¼ inch with ease and up to ¾ inch on jobs when the extra punch is needed. According to the manufacturer, the machine is one of the few systems with the ability to increase power when switching from 120 to 230 V and delivers the performance of a ½-inch plasma system on 230 V. The plasma cutting machine 42 system comes with gloves, glasses, SL40 plasma torch, and a heavy-duty carrying case. The unit carries a four-year warranty.
