The Topaz 1.5-ton portable air conditioner with 115-V/15-A power fits through a 32-inch wide door. It can be used to cool computer and telecommunications rooms independent of the building's HVAC system, remove moisture to bring construction sites to a work-ready state, and support permanent HVAC systems during rehab and retrofit operations and/or in other situations. The cooling capacity of the TZ-18A Model can reach up to 17,600 Btuh (rating conditions: 95°F at 60 percent rh). The unit has mechanical thermostat control; an electronic/programmable thermostat is available. Features include backward-inclined, plenum evaporator and condenser fans; thermostatic expansion valve; and an operating limit of 65° to 110°F.
