Supco: SURGE PROTECTORS

The SCM and SCMPLUS surge arrestors can protect heating, air conditioning, and other appliances from damaging surges caused by lightning, equipment cycling, utility company problems, etc., states the manufacturer. Features of the surge arrestors are 120/240-V, single-phase for the service voltage, 0-400-Hz operating frequency, and electrical panel and electrical disconnect. Both models are housed in high-impact plastic, measure 3 by 2.25 by 0.75 in., and weigh 0.6 lb. They come with a limited lifetime warranty. The maximum surge current for the SCM is 50,000 A, while it is 100,000 A for the SCMPLUS.
