A new line of safety valves features a soft seat for tighter shut-off in applications where operating pressure is close to the set of the temperature valve, says the manufacturer. According to the company, the ASME-approved valves feature two-ring control, making them dependable with regard to pop action, seat tightness, and blowdown. The safety valves are suitable for use on steam boilers, steam service on unfired pressure vessels, accumulators, cleaners, and distillers, as well as for air, gas, and vapors on compressors, receivers, burners-driers, and other piping systems. The threaded cast bronze valves with brass or stainless steel trim are available in sizes ranging from 1/2 to 2 1/2 in. for pressures up to 300 psi and temperatures up to 422¿F.
