The Site-Command™ controller form-factor is a 1U energy management controller for chain retailers and bank branches. According to the company, the Internet appliance is designed to meet the needs of the IT department while still providing robust facility and energy management capabilities to meet the needs of the facilities department. The energy management system allows retailers and bank branches to centrally monitor and manage a location’s lighting, a/c, signage, refrigeration, trash compactors, and other equipment across hundreds or thousands of locations. The rack-mountable, 19-inch controller provides power-failure detection for safe shutdown of the energy management system. The controller is designed to default controlled equipment to the on position in the case of a network failure at the site, ensuring that retailers and banks can continue with business as usual. It can be installed in the data center of each controlled building.
