The welded boot tee, designed for use in venting Category II, III, and IV gas-fired boilers and water heaters, is available in 5- through 24-inch diameters. They are designed to facilitate flow and minimize backpressure. Welding eliminates the need for sealant on the seams, which deteriorate over time, says the company. Welding also ensures that boot tees are airtight and watertight under pressure and provides improved structural integrity. They are available in single- and double-wall versions. Boot tees can be used for both horizontal and vertical vent systems.
