Sept. 8, 2009: Limbach CEO Participates in Washington Webcast on Energy Efficiency, Green Jobs

PITTSBURGH and WASHINGTON - Limbach Facility Services announced that CEO Charlie Bacon joined with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Thomas J. Vilsack, and White House staff members in a special webcast discussion with industry leaders on energy efficiency and U.S. green job creation.

As CEO of Limbach, one of the nation’s oldest mechanical contracting companies specializing in energy and cost saving retrofits for commercial, school, and hospital buildings, Bacon offered his perspective on the role that building energy efficiency can play in national energy reduction.

“Cars are not the only energy clunkers out there. In fact, buildings are far bigger sources of energy waste in this country,” said Bacon. “Buildings account for almost half of the energy used in the U.S., which is why for the past 16 years Limbach has been focused on solving the nation’s national energy crisis one energy-wasting building at a time.”

Through its Energy Solutions division, Limbach uses its entire portfolio of mechanical contracting services - from building design and construction to full building maintenance - to provide a single source for achieving building energy efficiency over a structure’s lifetime. It offers building owners comprehensive energy audits, energy reduction options such as performance contracts, building recommissioning, and operational improvement recommendations.

Limbach Energy Solutions is active in 24 major markets through hub offices located in Boston; Columbus, Ohio; Detroit; Los Angeles; Orlando, Fla.; Pittsburgh; Philadelphia; Tampa, Fla.; and Washington, D.C. For more information, visit www.limbachinc.com.
