Scholarship Applications Being Accepted

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Applications are now being accepted for the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors — National Association (PHCC) Educational Foundation, Delta Faucet, and the Foundation Need-Based Scholarship programs.

Scholarships are open to students who are currently or will be enrolled in an hvacr- or plumbing-related major at an accredited four-year college, university, or two-year technical college, community college, or trade school.

Applicants must be sponsored by an active member of PHCC-National Association who has maintained that status for at least a two-year period prior to the date of the application.

Eligibility requirements for the Foundation and Delta programs are similar and students are encouraged to apply for both scholarships. Need-Based Scholarship applicants must also demonstrate financial need.

The PHCC Educational Foundation Scholarship awards include three $12,000 scholarships ($3,000 per year, for up to four years) for students attending an accredited four-year college or university and two $3,000 scholarships ($1,500 per year, for up to two years) for students at an accredited two-year community college, technical college, or trade school.

The Foundation Need-Based Scholarship Program will award one $2,500 scholarship (one-time, non-renewable).

Finally, the Delta Faucet Scholarship Program awards include four $2,500 scholarships (one-time, non-renewable) for students attending an accredited four-year college or university and two $2,500 scholarships (one-time, non-renewable) for students at an accredited two-year technical college, community college, or trade school.

PHCC Educational Foundation and Foundation Need-Based applications must be postmarked by May 1, 2002, while Delta Faucet applications must be postmarked by June 1, 2002. To receive an application, call 800-533-7694 or go to www.phccweb.org/foundation (website).
