RSES Teaches IAQ In August

DES PLAINES, Ill. - Badlands techs will have the opportunity to learn about good indoor air quality (IAQ) when the Badlands Chapter of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) and the R.W. Kellow Center of Learning present a seminar titled "Indoor Air Quality." It will take place on Aug. 28 at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel in Bismarck, N.D.

Topics will include HVAC duct systems and IAQ; air cleaning filters; replacement, retrofits of equipment and IAQ; ventilation; homes and IAQ; commercial buildings and IAQ; building pressurization; IAQ terms; and the history of IAQ.

Robert S. Kish will lead the seminar. He is a Certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE) and has taught at a technical college for 10 years. Kish is president of the IAQ Team LLC, a past board member of the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA), and is the IAQ Program Specialist for HVAC Excellence.

North American Technician Excellence (NATE) has recognized this seminar, which totals eight continuing education hours. Technicians who attend will receive credit toward renewing their NATE certification.

Registration fees are $80 for RSES members, $120 for nonmembers, $170 for nonmembers applying for membership, $25 for RSES students, and $40 for student nonmembers. For more information, contact Dustin Zaun at 701-255-4416 or Bill Rydquist at 888-517-9090.
