For the first time in its history, Rheem Air Conditioning Division awarded its "Man of the Year" and "Top Gun" awards to the same person in the same year. The 2003 honors went to David Garceau, district technical representative (DTR), who provides training and technical education for Rheem and Ruud distributors and dealers in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

"I'm extremely honored to be the first DTR to receive both of those very prestigious awards in the same year," said Garceau, who is based in Concord, N.C.

Garceau is NATE-certified and is also a NATE-certified testing official who facilitates certification tests for dealers and distributors.

The "Man of the Year" award was established in 1984 and is based on feedback from Rheem distributors and dealers. The "Top Gun" award was established in 1999 and recognizes the DTR who provides the highest annual volume and most effective product training sessions for dealers and distributors.
