The new industrial oil, acid, and moisture purging system, the OAM-Purger, is designed for high- and low-pressure refrigerant, centrifugal chiller applications. It can be used for indoor or outdoor hazardous and/or explosion-proof process cooling installations. According to the manufacturer, the OAM Purger continually cleans oil, acid, and moisture from a chiller's refrigerant charge and returns the oil to the chiller's compressor lubrication circuit. The unit extracts approximately 200 pounds of oil-contaminated refrigerant per each cycle from the evaporator. It works around the clock, whether or not the chiller is operating.
