RBX Industries Inc.: Adhesive

The R-620 black neoprene contact adhesive is used for joining seams and butt joints of elastomeric pipe and sheet insulation. R-620 is an air-drying solvent-based contact. According to the manufacturer, this adhesive has a higher viscosity than other contact adhesives. It creates a tough moisture- and heat-resistant seal between elastomeric materials and surfaces like concrete, felt, wood, leather, and metal. It is not easily absorbed, making it an ideal choice for bonding porous and nonporous materials, the company states.
