PHCC Comments on Ergonomics Forum
FALLS CHURCH, VA — The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors — National Association (PHCC) recently provided comments on an ergonomics forum conducted by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). According to PHCC, its members have addressed ergonomics through implementation of safety and health programs, but the association says that OSHA will have difficulty in defining what constitutes an “ergonomics injury.”
PHCC questioned how OSHA will distinguish between work-related and non-work-related injuries, and it supports the possibility of OSHA adopting a flexible and workable voluntary ergonomics program.
