Obituary: Woodward

COLUMBUS, OH – The Northamerican Heating, Refrigeration and Airconditioning Wholesalers Association (NHRAW) reports that Robert J. Woodward Sr., chairman emeritus of Palmer-Donavin Manufacturing Co. here, passed away on May 20 after a long illness. He was 83 years old.

Mr. Woodward was a founding member of NHRAW in the late 1940s. He served as trustee of Region 4 and all other officer posts, including serving as president for 1963-64.

In the late 1950s, he helped to develop and implement classroom business and technical training for dealer-contractors. He also helped to create the concept of home study for dealers and wholesaler personnel.

Memorials are suggested to a community service to which Mr. Woodward devoted many years – Franklin County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, 2879 Johnstown Rd., Columbus, OH 43219.
