Mr. Souders joined the U.S. Army in 1943; he was honorably discharged in 1945 and then worked in Lancaster, PA for Merchant and Evans as a production supervisor. He began his 30-year career in refrigeration in 1952, as a sales associate for Illinois Auto Electric (Chicago, IL).
In 1962, Mr. Souders moved to Montgomery, AL, where he assumed the role of national sales manager for Arctic Traveler. In 1964 he moved to Dallas, TX, and became the national sales manager for Frigiking. In 1967 he started his own business, Reacond Associates.
His brother, Gerald Souders, calls him “a man of high integrity and deep compassion. His life always centered first on family.” In addition to Gerald, that surviving family includes Janet, his wife of 59 years; sons John C. and Michael D. Souders; five grandchildren, five brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
