Obituary: Robert Marowske

DETROIT - Robert Marowske, age 75, passed away on Jan. 12. He founded Flame Furnace in 1949, which became one of the largest heating and cooling contractors in Michigan.

Mr. Marowske was a member of the president's board of Concordia University in Ann Arbor, and served on the board of The Children's Home of Detroit, the Lutheran Church Michigan District President's Advisory Council, and the advisory board of the Salvation Army.

Mr. Marowske received many awards during his lifetime - Lutheran Layman of the Year, National Heating & Cooling Contractor of the Year, Volunteer of the Week, and an honorary degree from Concordia University.

Memorials may be made to Historic Trinity Inc., 1345 Gratiot Ave., Detroit, MI 48207; or to a charity of your choice.
