Obituary: Harold Shield

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) notified members of the passing of Harold Shield, former president of Shield Associates Limited (SAL), the company that manages the CMX/CIPHEX show. Mr. Shield spent more than 45 years in the trade show management business with the Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows, the Toronto International Boat Show, and from 1984 until his retirement, the CEX/CMX/CIPHEX shows.

Upon his retirement, his son Patrick took over as president of SAL.

Mr. Shield passed, at 80 years old, on July 13. He is survived by his wife Pat, his four children, and 13 grandchildren.
