MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Charles N. Prudames, 64, died April 4 due to cancer. He had been vice president of Jay R. Smith Manufacturing Co., Montgomery, where he began working in 1984 as a regional manager.

In 1989 Mr. Prudames was promoted to national sales manager, and later to vice president of sales.

Mr. Prudames is survived by his wife, Wallene; his children, Tracey Prudames Horne and husband Blake, and Charles N. Prudames Jr. and wife Ashley; and one grandchild.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Charles N. Prudames' name to the American Cancer Society: 800-227-2345.
