JANESVILLE, Wis. - Achim (Archie) Eschborn, 56, died at his home April 19, 2008, following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was VP of sales and marketing for Revcor Inc., and worked in the air movement industry since 1984.

In 1985, Eschborn became national sales manager for Tec Air Inc., until his move to Revcor in 1999. He was an active member of AHRI, AHAM, ASHRAE, GAMA, and SPE.

He was born in Germany on Nov. 16, 1951, the son of Helmut and Lissy (Dreissigacker) Eschborn.

He was a past president of the Rock Lake Research Society, and authored a book, Dragon in the Lake, that details his underwater research as an Expedition Leader at the Rock Lake prehistoric site in Wisconsin.

Mr. Eschborn is survived by his wife Linnea; parents Lissy and Helmut Eschborn; sister Vera (Dean) Johnson; stepdaughters Tracy Sheridan and Kerstin (Shawn) Richards; five grandchildren; and a cousin. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles, and aunts in Germany and Florida.
