Nov. 11, 2009: ACCA to Hold HVACR Residential Marketing & Sales Forum in January

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced that it will hold its second National HVACR Residential Marketing & Sales Forum on Jan. 20 and 21 in Miami. For the second annual event, ACCA said it has developed a new program featuring seven of the most successful contractors in America, each of which has agreed to offer open access to the techniques that have fueled their residential sales success.

Companies participating in this interactive two-day forum include:

• Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning, Rochester, N.Y. - ACCA notes that Isaac has grown sales by 270 percent, increased yearly service leads by 1,000 percent, and locked in 20,000 service agreements.

• Estes Heating & Air Conditioning, Atlanta - Despite the recession, this year the company took total revenue up 18 percent over last year.

• Apollo Heating & Cooling, Cincinnati - Apollo has grown (and been profitable) every year for the last 21 years.

• Cropp Metcalfe, Fairfax, Va. - Cropp Metcalfe has grown into a regional HVAC powerhouse. It has doubled in the last seven years alone, and won numerous industry awards.

• Peaden Air Conditioning, Heating & Plumbing, Panama City, Fla. - Peaden has grown revenues by 300 percent, service agreements by 500 percent, and its total customer base by 200 percent.

• Hobaica Services, Phoenix - Hobaica has kept itself in the black through the economic downturn by focusing on its No. 1 customer - employees. The firm will share how it turns employees into “customer advocates.”

The panel-style forum will be moderated by industry veteran Larry Taylor, president of AirRite Air Conditioning in Fort Worth, Texas, one of the first companies to take a “whole house” approach to HVACR contracting.

A special keynote presentation from best-selling author and international sales expert Don Hutson will kick off the forum on the morning of Jan. 20.

According to Kevin Holland, ACCA vice president, the event is “a one-time-only opportunity to hear some of America’s top contractors ‘spill their guts’ on how they’ve built their companies through sales success. These contractors come from different states, in different parts of the country, from different kind of communities. What they have in common is an extraordinary record of success and a willingness to share their stories through ACCA to give back to the contracting community.”
