Nov. 1, 2010: WorkerExpress.com Helps the Trades Hire Temporary Workers

SAN FRANCISCO - WorkerExpress.com announced that it is launching a redesigned technology platform, to make it easier for contractors to find and hire the temporary workers they need to get jobs done.

According to the company, it streamlines the process for contractors looking to hire temporary employees. Workers use www.workerexpress.com to post their profiles, which include their pictures, verified references, certifications, specialties, list of tools, and work experience. Contractors can then hire workers, who fit their specific needs, directly through the website or on the phone. WorkerExpress.com said it has been successfully placing jobs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other trades.

The company said it uses SMS technology that allows workers to clock in and out of the job site via text message. This means no more paperwork to sign at the work site or keep track of at the office.
