Contractors can then hire workers, who fit their specific needs, directly through the website or on the phone. WorkerExpress.com said it has been successfully placing jobs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other trades.

The company said it uses SMS technology that allows workers to clock in and out of the job site via text message. This means no more paperwork to sign at the work site or keep track of at the office.
